Hey Reader,

Let’s talk about the real reason people aren’t booking calls with you.

We like to think offering a free call is a gift. A no-brainer. A generous act of kindness wrapped in a shiny bow.

But let’s step into the mind of your potential customer for a second.

In their world, your “free call” comes with a price: Time. And not just any time—45 minutes of their precious, never-getting-it-back, could-have-been-doing-something-else time.

So in their head, here’s what’s happening:

  1. I’m going to have to give up my time for this.
  2. I’m probably going to be sold something.
  3. Is this actually worth it?

That’s the battle you’re fighting. And if you don’t address it upfront, you lose.

So how do we fix this? You bridge the gap.

Let’s use an example. Say you help people with back pain. Instead of offering a vague “free consultation,” here’s how you make it irresistible:

1. Reframe the Value
Instead of:

“Book a free call with me to discuss your back pain.”

Try:

“Most people with back pain have no idea where it’s coming from, which is why 99% of treatments fail. Let’s find out your exact pain source—so you can stop wasting time and money on the wrong solutions.”

See the difference? Now it’s not a call—it’s a discovery. A step toward clarity. A solution to a problem.

2. Position the Call as the ‘Fast Track’
People have two options: the slow way or the fast way. You tell them that upfront.

“You have two choices:

The Slow Way – Over the next few days, I’ll send you some emails, links, and videos. You’ll try to piece together a solution and hope for the best.

The Fast Way – I’ll buy the first consultation for you. You’ll meet with one of our trained specialists who will pinpoint exactly what’s causing your pain, and we’ll give you the exact next steps to fix it.”

Now they see the call as an opportunity, not an obligation.

3. Ditch the ‘Free Call’—Make It a Gift
People don’t value “free” the way you think they do. So instead of saying, “It’s a free call,” say:

“Normally, a physiotherapist would charge $250 for this consultation. But I want you to have absolute clarity first, so I’ll cover the cost. Just use this private coupon code at checkout to book your time.”

This subtly shifts the dynamic: you’re paying for it, so they see it as valuable.

4. Remove the Pressure to Buy
Lastly, make it clear that there’s no catch.

“If you want us to guide you through fixing your pain, we’d love to help. But even if you don’t, you’ll walk away knowing exactly what’s wrong and how to fix it. No hard sells. No obligation. Just clarity.”

And that’s how you turn a meh call offer into an absolute must-book now event.

Key Takeaways for Your Business:

✅ Stop calling it a “free call.” Make it a discovery session, diagnostic review, or personalized assessment.
✅ Give them two paths: the slow way or the fast way—and make the fast way obvious.
✅ Position it as valuable—mention what it would normally cost, then cover it for them.
✅ Make it no-pressure—whether they buy or not, they walk away with something tangible.

Now, go turn your “meh” calls into must-book calls. 🚀
